North of Homs | Gunmen attack State Security headquarters in Talbiseh city

Homs Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that unidentified gunmen targeted with grenades a branch of “State Security” in the city of Talbiseh in the northern countryside of Homs in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to Observatory sources, the attack resulted in the injury of a number of members of the “State Security” branch, before the attackers managed to escape.

On November 13, SOHR activists monitored tension in the city of Talbiseh in the northern countryside of Homs, between groups affiliated with the Syrian regime.

Members of the police arrested the leader of the group “al-Taramih” affiliated with the “Al-Nimr Forces” in the city, then “Al-Taramih” members reacted arresting a police officer. Hours after the incident, elders and dignitaries intervened and the policeman and the group’s leader were released.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the city is experiencing constant tension between the two sides over the mutual provocations of members and leaders in neighbourhoods and streets.

On September 7, unidentified gunmen opened fire on an informant of the Air-Force Intelligence in the city of Talbiseh in northern countryside of Homs, seriously injuring him and was transferred to al-Razi hospital in Homs city.
