Raqqa | SDF member Killed in Turkish shelling on rural Tal Abyad, and Turkish forces renew shelling north of Raqqa

SOHR sources say that a member of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) was killed as a result of his wounds sustained in yesterday’s Turkish shelling on the village of Salebi in Tal Abyad countryside, north of Raqqa.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces have renewed their shelling with heavy weapons on northern countryside of Raqqa, targeting Arida village in the western countryside of Tal Abyad. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today rocket attacks by Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed “National Army” factions on the villages of Khirbet Baqer, Kor Hassan and Qazali Silos in the western countryside of Tel Abyad, within the SDF-held areas in the northern countryside of Raqqa province, but no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored artillery shelling by Turkish forces and proxy factions, targeting the villages of Khalidiya, Hoshan, Kor Hassan Ali and Istirahat Al-Saqr on the international road “M4” in the northern rural Raqqa province. No casualties have been reported so far.
