“De-escalation zone” | Clashes erupt between rebels and regime forces in Sahl Al-Ghab, and regime rocket fire hits Jabal Al-Zawiyah

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored clashes between regime forces and opposition factions on the frontlines of Kherbet Al-Naqous in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama following an infiltration attempt by the regime forces after mid-night. The clashes were accompanied by exchange of shelling.

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled positions in Al-Faterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen and Fulayfel in the southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, Observatory sources reported rocket attacks by regime forces on Al-Bara town and other areas of Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, along with sporadic clashes between rebel and jihadi factions on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other, on frontlines of Fulayfel village in Jabal al-Zawiyah. The clashes were accompanied by exchange of rocket fire between the two sides. Meanwhile, Russian reconnaissance drones were seen flying over the area.
