“De-escalation zone” | Clashes between regime forces and jihadi groups in Jabal Al-Zawiyah leaves casualties

Syrian Observatory activists have reported clashes between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups on the other, on the frontlines of Al-Fatera in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The clashes, which lasted for hours and were accompanied by exchange of shelling, erupted in the early hours of Saturday morning after an attack by regime forces on rebel positions, leaving several casualties on both sides.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that rebels targeted, with artillery, regime positions and posts in Kafruma and Hass towns in the south of Idlib, destroying a military post containing heavy weapons belonging to regime forces. Observatory activists also monitored clashes between al-Fateh al-Mubin factions and regime forces on frontline of Kddora in Idlib countryside.
