Security chaos in HTS-held areas | Explosion targets military commander in Kafr Takharim

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a military commander of Al-Sham Corps which is close to Turkey as a result of the explosion of a landmine planted earlier by unknown gunmen. The explosion was detonated as the commander was passing in his car in Kafr Takharim city in rural Idlib.

It is worth noting that the commander was attacked a few weeks ago by masked men near Idlib city where they looted his car and money in his possession. However, the car was found later in one of HTS headquarters.

A few days ago, SOHR activists said that the “Imam” of a mosque in Salqin city in Idlib countryside was lightly wounded as a result of the explosion of a grenade thrown by unknown assailants. It is worth noting that the targeted man was opposing HTS and served as a sharia official Ahrar al-Sham Islamic movement.

On November 12, Observatory activists documented the death of a young man from Sinjar area, east of Idlib, after being shot by unidentified gunmen on the road between Sarmada and Ras al-Husn in HTS-held areas in the northern countryside of Idlib.
