Mass demonstrations in NE Syria | Protesters express rejection of Baghdad-Erbil agreement

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored mass demonstrations in Dayrik, Al-Qamishli, Rumaylan and other cities and towns in north-eastern Syria region, expressing rejection of Baghdad-Erbil agreement according to which Iraqi forces will be deployed in Shingal area, where the road used by SDF to travel between Iraq and Syria runs through.

 

The demonstrators also called for not allowing massacres to be committed against the Yazidis.

 

On November 6, SOHR sources said that the “Syriac Al-Shabiba al-Thawriya” held a mass demonstration in Tel Tamer town in Al-Hasakah countryside, condemning the violations by Turkish forces on Syrian territory, and in support of Syria Democratic Forces and the Syriac Military Council.

 

While, on October 24, Syrian Observatory activists monitored many residents participating in mass demonstrations this morning in Tal Tamr area in Al-Hasakah countryside and Al-Raqqah city, condemning and denouncing the recent military escalation by Turkish forces and their proxy factions on Ain Issa area in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah.

 

Similarly, on October 18, SOHR sources monitored Syrian civilians of Armenian descent in al-Hasakeh, holding a demonstration denouncing the Turkish attacks on Armenia.
