Deir Ezzor protests | Residents stage vigil in Al-Shuhayl, calling for provision of fuel for heating

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored tens of residents staging a vigil in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, demanding SDF provide fuel to the town’s residents for heating.

On November 11, SOHR activists monitored dozens of residents staging a demonstration against Syria Democratic Forces in the village of Hawaij Bousama’a in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, condemning corruption, poor living conditions and non-distribution of oil allocations used for heating to residents in the area.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, SDF members opened fire on the protesters in order to disperse the demonstration, after they had set fire to rubber tires blocking the village’s roads.
