Turkey’s military build-up | Forces put on high alert, deploying on Latakia-Aleppo international road in western rural Idlib

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that Turkish forces were put on high alert and deployed on the Latakia-Aleppo international road, near Muhambel area in western Idlib countryside, since before midnight to date. Meanwhile, a loud explosion was heard in that area while Turkish forces were there. However, the nature of the explosion is not yet known to date, but is believed to be caused by the detonation of landmines by the Turks.

 

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the entry of a new military column of Turkish forces via Kafr Losin crossing, north of Idlib.

The column consisted of 30 vehicles, carrying military and logistical equipment, heading towards military posts in the “Putin-Erdogan” region.

 

The number of military vehicles entered Syrian territory since the start of the new ceasefire has reached 7,470 in addition to thousands of Turkish soldiers.

From February 2 to date, the number of Trucks and military vehicles that arrived in “de-escalation zone” rose to more than 10,805 Turkish trucks and military vehicles arrived in Syrian territory, carrying tanks, personnel carriers, armored vehicles and mobile bulletproof guard booths and military radars.
