Aleppo | Old man and child killed during infiltration attempt by Kurdish forces to positions of Turkish-backed factions in northern countryside

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have documented the death of a child and an old man in addition to injuries to another person by fighters believed to be of Kurdish forces this morning, while they were in farmlands near Barrad village in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

According to local sources, a group of combatants sneaked into the surrounding areas of Barrad village and arrested the child who was on a riding animal guarding the land. The combatants later tortured the child, killed the animal and shot dead the child with 40 bullets, then they opened fire indiscriminately on the shepherds nearby, killing the old man and injuring another one, while the rest of shepherds managed to escape.

It is worth noting that another source dismissed the Kurdish forces’ responsibility of this murder. However, he confirmed the infiltration attempt which took place last night.

In mid-November, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian woman after being shot by snipers of the Kurdish forces near Mar’naaz village in the northern countryside of Aleppo. it is worth noting that the victim was harvesting olive in a farmland near the frontlines between the Kurdish forces and Turkish-backed factions when she was shot dead.
