The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a civilian from Dara Izza in western countryside of Aleppo province, by gunmen from the “Tahrir al-Sham” organization.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the HTS’ security forces stormed the house of the civilian yesterday, with the aim of arresting him from the city of Dara Izza for smuggling cigarettes from areas controlled by Turkish forces and proxy factions north of Aleppo, to the HTS-held areas in Idlib and its countryside and parts of Aleppo countryside.

The civilian escaped during the raid on his house, then HTS members directly opened fire on him, seriously injuring him, where he died today of his injuries.

On November 12, SOHR sources monitored the execution of a young man from the area of Tal Daw in northern countryside of Homs by HTS, for “killing a person”, after his arrest for more than three years.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the young man was previously detained in the same case by Ahrar al-Sham in the area of Tal Daw. After the displacement from the northern countryside of Homs to Idlib, the case moved to HTS and the young man remained detained for three years, before his relatives were told two days ago that he was executed by firing squad.

On September 16, SOHR activists said that HTS executed, on Monday September 14, a young man from the town of Qastoun in Sahl Al-Ghab by firing squad, after he was found guilty of being part of a robbery gang and banditry acts and confessions of his involvement in the murder of a money changer in rural Jisr al-Shughour city earlier, in addition to some robberies in the area.

According to local sources, HTS confiscated from his family a quantity of gold in addition to an estimated $25,000.
