Violations in Afrin | Turkish-backed factions arrest several civilians from Jendires and Sheikh Hadeed

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: As military formations operating under the banner of the Turkish-backed “National Army” continue their violations against the remaining residents in Afrin city and surrounding districts, reliable sources have told the Syrian Observatory that the military police arrested several civilians in Anqalah village in Sheikh Hadeed district in rural Afrin for unknown reasons.

 

Meanwhile, the faction of “Al-Samarqand” arrested other civilians from Kafr Safrah village of Jendires district in Afrin countryside also for unknown reasons.

 

On November 26, SOHR sources reported that Ankara-backed factions continued their violations against Kurdish civilians in Afrin canton, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in north-western Aleppo.

 

SOHR sources said that gunmen of “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic movement” arrested four women from the village of Medaliyat in Raju district in rural Afrin, northwest of Aleppo.

 

According to Observatory sources, elderly women were among the arrested women, and they were taken to an unknown destination after being accused of “dealing with SDF.”

 

On November 23, reliable sources informed SOHR that the Turkish-backed Al-Hamzat Division raided several houses in Ma’batli district in rural Afrin in north-western Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, the division arrested three civilians for unknown reasons and took them to unknown destination. This development came as a part of ongoing violations by Turkish-backed factions throughout Afrin.
