Proliferation of arms in Tal Abyad | Turkish forces and proxy factions arrest seven tribal people

Raqqa Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that Turkish-backed factions, backed by armoured vehicles and Turkish forces, surrounded, on November 28, the village of al-Qaysariyeh, east of Tel Abyad in the “Peace Spring” areas in northern countryside of Raqqa, arresting four civilians from Al-Hanada tribe for possessing heavy weapons in the village, in addition to being accused of killing members of Turkish-backed factions.

Meanwhile, members of the Al-Jabha al-Shamiya arrested three civilians of al-Mashhura tribe in the city of Tel Abyad for killing and capturing members of the Turkish-backed factions during previous clashes.

On November 28, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored fierce clashes between a group of civilians and members of the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” in the main market of the city of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the clashes left one civilian dead after being shot by members of “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” and at least four members of “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” injured, who intervened to resolve the conflict in the middle of the Tal Abyad market, amid reports of injuries among civilians as a result of indiscriminate gunfire in the market.

Moreover, “Al-Jabha al-Shamiya” members were seen putting on a high alert in Tal Abyad, as they brought in military reinforcement to the city.
