Security campaign | Regime forces arrest 15 young males in Deir Ezzor, driving them to military service

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed SOHR that regime security services have arrested nearly 15 young men from deir Ezzor city with the aim to drive them to mandatory service.

 

On November 12, regime forces launched a security campaign today in Deir Ezzor city, searching for young people who passed their date of joining the mandatory and reserve service in regime military. The security forces arrested several military deserters and other young males who hit the legal age of military service, and took them to prisons in Deir Ezzor province.

 

It is worth noting that regime forces launch repeated campaigns in order to drive young males to mandatory service. On November 3, reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that joint patrols of the “Military Police” and “Military Security” services launched a new security campaigns in Al-Mayadeen city, which is under the control of Iranian and regime forces. This campaign aimed to search for the individuals who passed their date of joining the mandatory and reserve service to regime’s military.
