Hasakeh countryside | Civilians flee from Abu Rasin “Zarkan”, as Turkish bombardment continues on the area

Hasaka governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the exodus of civilians from the villages and towns of Abu Rasin “Zarkan” to the eastern villages and towns, for fear of Turkish shelling which is increasingly hitting the area during the recent period.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, on Sunday morning, Turkish rocket attacks on the villages and towns of Dada Abdal, Nuwehat, Safa, Haji Boubi, Tal Harmel, the dividing frontline and the outskirts of Zarkan. The shelling caused material damage to civilian homes, and injured two regime soldiers.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that Turkish military bases stationed in the “Peace Spring” areas, shelled places near regime forces’ positions on the outskirts of Abu Racine (Zarkan) town in Hasakeh countryside, coinciding with clashes with medium and heavy weapons between SDF and Turkish-backed factions, on frontlines of Dada Abdal, Nuihat, Basis and Mutamura in the same area.

Meanwhile, several shells fell on civilian homes, forcing people to flee partially from those villages to safer neighbouring villages.

In the northern countryside of Raqqa, Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled the perimeter of Ain Issa.

In this context, frontlines of the villages of Sayda and Malaq have witnessed an exchange of shelling between SDF and Turkish-backed factions. No casualties were reported to date.
