After hours of tense calm | Regime forces shell Idlib and Latakia countryside, while rebels kill regime soldier in southern Idlib

SOHR activists have documented the death of a regime soldier last night  in clashes and attacks on the frontlines of Maarrat Mukhas near Kafr Nubl in southern Idlib.

SOHR sources also reported that regime forces started a new round of artillery fire on positions in Jabal Al-Turkman in the northern countryside of Latakia, Al-Bara town and the villages of Al-Faterah, Sfuhen and Deir Sonbol in southern Idlib. no casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that the “de-escalation zone” experienced cautious calm for hours interrupted by exchange of shelling and attacks between regime forces and opposition factions on several frontlines.

Observatory sources reported earlier this morning an exchange of heavy machinegun fire between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions on the other, on frontlines of al-Fatira and Fleifel in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled this morning places in Sfuhen, Kansafra, Kafr Aweid, Al-Halouba, Benin and Fulaifel in the same countryside as well as other positions in Al-Ankawi in Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama.
