Deir Ezzor | Unknown gunmen attack SDF checkpoint, and SDF members storm houses and vandalize civilian properties

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Unknown gunmen opened fire this evening on Al-Jam’iyyah checkpoint of Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Tayyanah town in Deir Ezzor countryside. The attack left several members who were stationed of the checkpoint injured.

Separately, SDF members stormed civilian houses in the town, broke the doors of some shops and tampered with their contents.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that unidentified gunmen, believed to be members of the Islamic State, killed a member of the SDF-backed Internal Security Forces near the village of Al-Sajar in northern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The gunmen chanted “Allahu Akbar” before escaped on their motorcycles.

Meanwhile, four members on motorcycles threatened a doctor in al-Busayrah city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, demanding him pay “zakat”, after they opened fire on his house directly.
