Security campaign | HTS storms ex-commander’s house in Jisr Al-Shughour, arresting man and child

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: HTS security services have stormed the house of a former jihadi commander in Al-Hamamah village in the northern countryside of Jisr Al-Shughour, but they were not able to arrest him. The security forces arrested another man and a child, ex-commander’s relatives, instead, besides, they broke the houses furniture and windows during the raid.

 

HTS-held areas experience frequent security campaigns against members of “Hurras Al-Din” organization and others ex-ISIS fighters.

 

Yesterday, security services of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham were seen on high alert in Idlib city and surrounding areas, as they arrested ex-members of “Hurras Al-Din” organization for unknown reasons.

 

SOHR sources reported on December 4, that Observatory sources monitored HTS security checkpoints being put on high alert in western countryside of Idlib, Darkush and Jisr al-Shughour areas, tightening security measures on passers-by. Meanwhile, the security forces of “Tahrir al-Sham” raided a house near Idlib and several houses near the city of Darkush. Civil sources reported that members of “Tahrir al-Sham” arrested several suspects believed to be of Huras al-Din, including fighters of Arab nationalities.
