Security chaos in Daraa | Unknown gunmen assassinate wanted person by regime security services in al-Karak Al-Sharqi
Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a new assassination in Daraa governorate, as unidentified gunmen shot a man and his 16-year-old son in front of their home in the town of al-Karak Al-Sharqi in eastern Daraa countryside, killing them immediately.
It is worth nothing that the victim was wanted by the regime security services after refusing to strike a reconciliation deal with the regime, following al-Karak Al-Sharqi’s events.
This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 788 attacks.
While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 514 persons, 145 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 16 children, in addition to 221 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.
101 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 24 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
