Western Qalamoun | Stabbing attack seriously injures young man

Damascus Countryside – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that a young man was seriously injured in a stabbing attack by unknown assailants, with the aim of stealing his belongings in the town of Hafir al-Fuqa in western Qalamoun, west of Damascus countryside.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the young man was found on the side of the road in al-Ain area in Hafir Al-Fuqa, and was stabbed twice in the head, before his belongings were stolen, where he was taken to Sednaya hospital.

On October 8, reliable sources told SOHR that unknown gunmen opened machinegun fire on a young man in Jeiroud city centre in eastern Qalamoun in Rif Dimashq. The young man was taken later to Al-Qutayfah hospital where he died affected by his wounds. According to local sources, neither the perpetrators nor the motives behind this crime have been known yet.

This incident comes in the wake of escalating security chaos across all Syrian provinces.
