Daraa countryside | Regime forces target plain around al-Karak al-Sharqi town

Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that regime forces targeted, in the early hours of Friday morning, the outskirts of the town of Karak al-Sharqi in Daraa countryside with an artillery shell, after which they opened their heavy machine guns on the plains surrounding the area, while no information has been reported on the reasons so far. No casualties have been reported.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 790 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 515 persons, 145 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 16 children, in addition to 222 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

101 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 24 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
