For unknown reasons | Young man commits suicide in Al-Ashrafieh neighbourhood in Afrin city in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo Governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the suicide of a young man from the city of Afrin by hanging himself inside his home. The young man was found inside his home in al-Ashrafieh neighbourhood after committing suicide for unknown reasons.

On September 15, the Syrian Observatory published that the repercussions of Syria’s war are still plaguing the Syrian people, as it is too difficult for those people who stayed in regime-held areas to secure their daily necessities, in the wake of the deteriorating economic situations throughout Syria, as it is the case of the people who chose to be displaced to the northern Syria region, fleeing the regime’s security services repression.

In this context, Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of a young man from eastern Ghouta, after he hung himself to death inside his abandoned house in Al-Ashrafiyyah neighbourhood in the Turkish-controlled city of Afrin in north-western Aleppo.

Local sources have informed SOHR that the young man returned a few days earlier from Turkey to Afrin, as he was not able to get temporary residency paper in Turkey, he also failed to get a job there. The young man tried to kill himself a few days ago using a sharp tool, but his relatives saved them. Yesterday, the young man was found dead, after he hung himself in his house. According his friends, the young man was severely distressed because of his poor living conditions since he was displaced from eastern Ghouta to northern Syria.
