Aleppo | New infiltration attempt by Kurdish forces into positions of Turkish-backed factions in northern Aleppo countryside, as Turkish forces shell the area

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled positions held by Kurdish forces in northern Aleppo countryside, targeting the villages of Maranaz, Sughnaka and Shawargha.

The shelling coincided with clashes with medium and heavy machine guns on frontline of the town of Harbal in northern Aleppo countryside, following infiltration attempt by Kurdish forces into the positions of Turkish-backed factions, but no casualties have been reported so far.

SOHR activists have reported that Turkish forces renewed their rocket fire on Kurdish positions in the northern countryside of Aleppo today, targeting the perimeter of Menagh military airbase, the surrounding areas of Tal Rifat and other positions. No casualties have been reported.

The shelling comes after a few days of tense calm on frontlines of northern Aleppo countryside.
