North of Raqqa | Clashes renew and between SDF and Ankara-backed factions near Ain Issa

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, renewed clashes on frontlines in countryside of Ain Issa, north of the city of Raqqa, between SDF and Turkish-backed factions, accompanied by shelling and exchange of fire. The clashes concentrated on frontlines of Musheirfa and Jahbal, north-east of Ain Issa, but no casualties have been reported so far.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory sources reported exchange of ground bombardment between Syria Democratic Forces and Turkish-backed factions on Ain Issa frontlines in northern Al-Raqqah, as Al-Wastah village in eastern Ain Issa came under intensive bombardment by Turkish-backed factions. Meanwhile, SDF shelled positions of the factions in eastern Ain Issa. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

This development comes a few hours after a meeting between Russian forces and their Turkish counterparts in Sharkerak silos in Al-Raqqah countryside.

SOHR sources reported earlier that Russian officers met with Turkish officers in Sharkerak silos to discuss several matters concerning the region, particularly the recent Turkish military escalation.
