After IED attack on military vehicle | Turkish-backed factions arrest tens of people from Ma’batly

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that Turkish-backed factions launched a security campaign, arresting several men and women from Ma’batly district in rural Afrin, following the explosion of an IED in the vehicle of a commander of the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” on December 18.

The factions released several of these people after investigations for hours. However, there are nearly 20 civilians are still detained. On the other hand, Turkish-backed factions arrested several residents from Hamatatu village in Afrin countryside for unknown reasons.

Meanwhile, the people of Afrin appeal to reveal the fate of their sons who are detained in prisons of Turkish-backed factions in the wake of ongoing arbitrary arrests in the region.

In December 18, SOHR sources reported that a member of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya and his companion were injured in an IED explosion in their military vehicle in Ma’abatli area in Afrin city, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions.
