Old ordnance explosions | Two young men killed in rural Aleppo, and woman injured in Daraa countryside

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of two young men from Ibizmou town in the western countryside of Aleppo in the explosion of an old landmine, while they were harvesting olive near the 46th Regiment.

 

Another woman has sustained serious injuries due to the explosion of an old landmine, while working in a farm in the southern neighbourhood of Jasim city on the road between Nawa and Jasim in Daraa countryside.

 

On December 20, SOHR activists documented the death of a child and injury of three others after the explosion of an unexploded cluster bomb in Deir Adas town in the northern countryside of Daraa.

 

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 400 people, including 71 women and 121 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.

 

Among the total death toll, there are 45 persons, including 30 women and five children, who were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
