“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and opposition factions exchange fire on rural Idlib frontlines

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored exchange of fire with heavy and medium machine guns, between opposition factions on one side, regime forces and loyalists on the other, on frontlines of Tarnaba, east of Idlib, and the 46th regiment west of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, regime forces have renewed their ground bombardment on areas in Jabal al-Zawiya, Sahl Al-Ghab and latakia mountains, while the factions renewed their shelling on regime forces’ positions in southern Idlib countryside, but no casualties have been reported so far.

SOHR sources have said that regime forces have renewed their rocket attacks this morning, on areas on Kabaneh frontlie in Jabal al-Akrad in northern latakia countryside, and shelled areas in Al-Fatira, Kansafra, Safohin and Flifel insouthern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya and Sahl Al-Ghab have witnessed exchange of fire between regime forces and opposition factions, with rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns. No casualties have been reported so far.

Moreover, a regime soldier was killed yesterday, after being sniped by factions on frontlines of Al-Sahel mountains in northern countryside of Latakia.
