Egypt’s Shoukry discusses Syrian crisis with Tomorrow movement head

Shoukry asserts Egypt’s full support to all efforts aimed at a political resettlement to the Syrian crisis

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed the latest developments in the Syrian crisis on Thursday in Cairo with Syria’s Tomorrow Movement Head Ahmed Jarba, the Egyptian foreign ministry stated.

According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, the meeting  was aimed at discussing the latest developments of the Syrian crisis and the ways to reach for political resettlement in accordance to the Security Council resolution No. 2254.
During the meeting, Shoukry asserted Egypt’s full support to all the efforts aiming to a political resettlement to the Syrian crisis that is to restore security and stability to Syria safeguarding the unity of its territories and achieving the aspiration of the Syrian people while ending the terrorist organizations there.
The Syria’s Tomorrow Movement was founded in Cairo in 2006 by various Syrian opposition figures led by Ahmed Jerba.
What started as an uprising against the rule of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in 2011 turned into a civil war that is on the verge of entering its tenth year forcing not less than 4 million Syrians to flee the country.
