“De-escalation zone” | Regime soldier killed and others injured in rural Latakia, while bombardment renews on Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Sahl Al-Ghab

SOHR activists have documented the death of regime soldier and injury of others in today’s clashes and exchange of fire between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and rebel and Islamic factions on the other, in Ain Issa frontlines in Jabal Al-Turkman in the northern countryside of Latakia.

 

On the other hand, regime forces shelled the villages of Sallour , Qarrat Omar and other positions in Jabal Al-Turkman, causing material damage to a military position affiliated to the factions.

 

Also, regime forces shelled Kansafrah town, Sfuhen and Al-Faterah villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in Idlib countryside, and other positions in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama, but no casualties have been reported so far.

 

SOHR sources reported this afternoon exchange of fire with heavy and medium machineguns, between opposition factions and regime forces on frontlines of Tarnaba in eastern Idlib and the 46th Regiment in the west of Aleppo.

 

Meanwhile, regime forces renewed their ground bombardment on areas in Jabal al-Zawiyah, Sahl Al-Ghab and Latakia mountains, while the factions shelled regime positions in south Idlib countryside, but no casualties were reported.

 

SOHR sources said that regime forces renewed their rocket attacks this morning, on areas on Kabaneh frontline in Jabal al-Akrad in northern Latakia countryside, and shelled areas in Al-Fatira, Kansafra, Sfuhen and Flifel in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, frontlines in Jabal al-Zawiya and Sahl Al-Ghab witnessed exchange of fire between regime forces and opposition factions, with rockets and heavy machineguns.
