YPG finds a large quantity of mines planted in people’s houses in the village of Alya, and IS executes an engineer

Al- Hasakah Province:

YPG found a large quantity of mines planted by IS in the village of Alya seized by YPG yesterday, and which is about 8 – 10 km from the town of Slouk that IS seizes in north of al- Raqqa. It is noted that some citizens died and wound earlier due to explosion of mines planted by IS in their houses in Ayn al- Arab and Tal Tamer.

 

The clashes between YPG and IS continued in on 2 villages near the village of Alya, information reported casualties on both sides. It worth mentioning that 14 IS militants, including a Chechen and 2 Gulf nationals, died day before yesterday night in US- led coalition airstrikes and in clashes with YPG in the village of Aalya, which lies 8- 10 km to the east of the town of Slouk in north of al- Raqqa, where YPG could seize the village, information reported that YPG has dragged 12 bodies of IS militants.

 

The regime warplanes renewed their attack on IS- held areas in south of al- Hasakah, coincided with shelling by the regime forces on areas in south and southwest of al- Hasakah.

 

Cross- cutting sources informed SOHR that IS informed the relatives of an engineer, who was one of the ex- managers of an institution in al- Shaddadi area, that they beheaded him using a sharp tool in southwest of al- Hasakah for being “agent for the regime”.
