New attack | Ankara-backed factions attempt to cut off al-Hasakeh-Aleppo international road, and SDF repel

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning a new attack by Ankara-backed factions on frontlines of Ain Issa countryside, north of Raqqa. Fierce clashes took place between Ankara-backed factions and the SDF on frontlines of Sayda and Ma’alaq, in an attempt by the factions, backed by Turkish rocket fire, to reach the road of al-Hasaka – Aleppo international and cut it off, amid confirmed reports of casualties on both sides. It is worth nothing that SDF managed to repel the attack before dawn.

In the last 48 hours, SOHR sources said that several groups of Turkish forces and their proxy factions attempted to infiltrate into the strategic village of Al-Musharifa in Ain Issa countryside in northern Al-Raqqha, where violent clashes erupted with medium and heavy weapons between the sneaking groups and Syria Democratic Forces. The infiltration attempt coincided with exchange of intensive bombardment between the two sides, amid confirmed information of casualties due to the intensive shelling.

It is worth noting that the Al-Musharifa is strategic village, as it is located near Aleppo-Al-Hasakah international highway (M4) which the Turkish forces seek for reaching and cutting it off.
