Three days after Israeli attack on Masyaf | Violent explosions rock Salamiya city in eastern Hama

Hama governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists have monitored this morning three violent explosions in the Syrian regime-controlled city of Salamiya in eastern Hama countryside. No information has been reported so far about the nature of the explosions whether it was caused by a rocket attack or something else. This comes three days after Israeli strikes on Masyaf area, west of Hama.

On Friday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented human and material losses, as a result of the new Israeli strikes on Syrian territory this morning. Israeli missiles flying over Lebanese territory have destroyed warehouses and manufacturing centres for short and medium-range missiles belonging to Iranian militias in the scientific research area, the “Defense Factories”, within the area of Al-Zawiya in Masyaf countryside.

Centres and positions were also targeted in al-Talae’ camp in Sheikh Ghadban area in Masyaf countryside as well.

The strikes left six people of non-Syrian nationalities dead. It is not yet known whether they were members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards or pro-Iranian militiamen.

The death toll is expected to rise, as some of the injured are in serious condition, amid reports of further fatalities of non-Syrian nationalities.

It is worth noting that Masyaf area hosts a centre for developing medium-range missiles in Al-Zawi village as well as Al-Talae’ camp in Sheikh Ghadban village in Masyaf countryside.
