“Peace Spring” areas | Syrian Interim Government’s local council of Ras al-Ain issues decision, allowing Iraqi refugees to apply for ID cards in Ras al-Ain city and countryside

Hasakeh Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that the local council of Ras al-Ain “Sere Kaniye” in Al-Hasakeh countryside has issued a new resolution to issue ID cards for Iraqi refugees in the city and its countryside within the areas of “Peace Spring”. The Syrian Observatory has obtained a copy of the resolution issued by the local council of Ras al-Ain which says: “To all Iraqi brothers residing in Ras al-Ain and its countryside, please come to the Personal Status and Civil Affairs Directorate in Ras Al Ain to app ID cards, as of January 1, 2021. The required papers:

1- A document proving your residence in the area with the address written in detail according to the new format: (neighbourhood name, area name, alley number and house number)

2- Personal proof with the identity of witnesses.

3- Security clearance from the police command in Ras Al Ain, and in case the family has moved elsewhere or left, please check with the mukhtar to registre the new address and mukhtar should check with the Personal Status Department the registre new family address.
