Ras al-Ain | Clashes between Turkish-backed factions leave several injured, and residents of Luzi village give “Sultan Murad” five-days notice to hand over their son’s killer

Hasaka province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that members of the Turkish-backed factions were injured this evening, due to violent clashes in the city of Ras al-Ain between “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and “Suleyman Shah” faction, afte disputes over the sharing of stolen goods and resources in the region.

Meanwhile, tension grows between the residents of Luzi village in Ras al-Ain countryside and other members of their clan on the one hand, and the Sultan Murad faction on the other, following the killing of a civilian from the village by the member of the faction, while the family of the victim has given five-days notice to hand over the killer.

Furthermore, members of the Sultan Murad Division left the village of Luzi, protected by the Al-Hasakah Shield faction, after attempts by the angry residents to arrest the member who killed a young man from the village. While the relatives of the young man and members of his clan demanded the extradition of the killer.

Reliable sources had informed SOHR that clashes erupted between residents and military groups of “Sultan Murad Division” in Luzi village in Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye) in rural Al-Hasakah. This armed fight came two days after members of “Sultan Murad” shot dead a young man for unknown reasons in Luzi village. According to SOHR sources, the victim’s family attacked the positions of “Sultan Murad” after they had made sure that their son was killed by members of the Turkish-backed division.
