Coronavirus in NW Syria | Health authorities records over 4,000 infections in December

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored noticeable decline in the number of coronavirus cases announced by the health authorities in north-western Syria region on a daily basis, as only tens of infections are recorded daily.

Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases have risen to 20,204 people, of whom 12,718 have been recovered, while the health authorities have announced the death of hundreds who were buried under strict precautionary measures.

On the other hand, more than 4,000 cases have been documented in December.

It is worth noting that the reasons behind the noticeable decline in the number of coronavirus cases in the past few days remained unknown, in light of not adopting precautionary measures, while schools and universities are still functioning.
