“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and opposition factions trade fire in rural Hama, as Russian jet flying over the area

Syrian Observatory activists have reported artillery fire by regime forces on Al-Zaqoum and Qulaydin villages in north Hama countryside, while opposition factions shelled regime positions in the same area.

On the other hand, SOHR activists have monitored frequent flights by reconnaissance drones over Idlib countryside and Jabal Al-Zawiyah, along with the flight of a Russian fighter jet over the area.

Moreover, regime forces shelled several positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Sahl Al-Ghab in the early hours of Thursday morning. However, no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that jihadi factions shelled regime positions on Al-Mashari’e frontline in the north-western countryside of Hama province, while regime forces shelled rebel positions in Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal al-Zawiyah. Also, a regime soldier was killed after being sniped by opposition factions on frontline of Al-Dar al-Kabira, south of Idlib.
