“De-escalation zone” | Rebels kill regime soldier in Sahl Al-Ghab, and renewed rocket attacks on Jabal al-Zawiya

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a regime soldier, as a result of the fall of rocket-propelled grenades fired by opposition factions on the village of Al-Baraka, which is controlled by regime forces and loyal militias in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama.

Meanwhile, regime forces renewed their ground bombardment on areas in Jabal al-Zawiya, south of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported.

Syrian Observatory activists have reported artillery fire by regime forces on Al-Zaqoum and Qulaydin villages in north Hama countryside, while opposition factions shelled regime positions in the same area.

On the other hand, SOHR activists have monitored frequent flights by reconnaissance drones over Idlib countryside and Jabal Al-Zawiyah, along with the flight of a Russian fighter jet over the area.
