Murder | Civilian found dead on his farm in western Al-Suwaidaa with gunshot wounds

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a livestock farmer was found dead on his farm in Al-Tha’lah town in the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa. According to SOHR sources, marks of gunshots were found on the farmer’s body, amid uncertainty surrounding the circumstances and reasons behind this murder. This is the first murder in Al-Suwaidaa in 2021 in light of the deteriorating security throughout the province.

 

On December 29, SOHR activists said that three people were killed in the previous night, after being shot by unidentified gunmen near the town of Al-Kafr in Al-Suwaidaa countryside.

 

This incident came as part of the escalating security chaos and killings in Al-Suwaidaa province.

 

On December 23, SOHR activists documented the death of two brothers after unknown gunmen opened machinegun fire on the car they were travelling in, on the road between Al-Mazra’a and Al-Dour in the western countryside of Al-Suwaidaa.

 

While on December 16, SOHR sources documented the death of a woman, following clashes between fighters of local factions and another person, while storming the person’s house.
