“De-escalation zone” | Clashes erupt between rebels and regime forces in southern Idlib and western Aleppo

Positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Sahl Al-Ghab are under intensive bombardment

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored regime rocket attacks since the early hours of Saturday morning, targeting positions in Al-Faterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen, Fulayfel, Bayanin, Al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, Qulaydin and Al-Ziyyarah in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama.

On the other hand, clashes erupted between opposition factions and regime forces on frontlines of the 46th Regiment in the western countryside of Aleppo, Kansafrah and Al-Faterah in southern Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a regime soldier, after being shot by opposition factions’ snipers on frontlines of Al-Mallaja village, south of Idlib. Rebels also destroyed a machinegun of regime forces with a guided missile on the same frontline.

Meanwhile, “Al-Fateh Al-Mubin” factions have shelled, with artillery, regime positions in Al-Umqiyah village in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-west Hama countryside.
