Aleppo | unknown gunmen kidnap civilian in Afrin city, and village headman kidnapped in north-eastern Aleppo

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen traveling in a van kidnapped a civilian in Afrin city centre, which is under the control of Turkish forces and proxy factions in northern Aleppo, while he was leaving his work. The gunmen also opened fire on the civilian’s son who was escorting him and took the civilian to unknown destination.

 

On the other hand, unknown gunmen traveling in a car, “Santa Fe” make, kidnapped the “mukhtar” (village headman) of Al-Halawaniyyah village in the west of Jendires city in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo, which is also under the control of Turkish forces and proxy factions.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that two unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a merchant and his companion near Ketab roundabout in front of “Al-Naqu” gun store in Al-Bab city centre, which is under the control of Turkish-backed factions in eastern Aleppo. The attack resulted in the death of the merchant, while his companion sustained injuries.

 

A day earlier, SOHR activists reported hearing a loud explosion in Jendires district, which is under the control of Turkish forces and factions of “Olive Branch” operation in the north-western countryside of Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by the detonation of a booby-trapped car near a bread bakery in the district. SOHR initial reports confirmed that five civilians were injured, including three women.
