In 10 days | Four assassinations on Iraqi refugees in Al-Hawl camp, including two women
Al-Hasakah governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a new assassination in Al-Hawl camp on a refugee of Iraqi nationality working for the Internal Security Forces “Asayish”, as unknown gunmen shot him in front of his tent in the second section in Al-Hawl camp. Clashes took place between members of “Asayish” and the gunmen who carried out the assassination, but they managed to escape after injuring one member of “Asayish.”
On January 3, SOHR sources reported that a female refugee of Iraqi nationality was shot dead, while standing in front of her tent in the fifth section of the Al-Hawl camp, as part of the ongoing security chaos in the camp in the south-eastern countryside of Hasaka.
On December 28, 2020, SOHR sources said that a female Iraqi refugee from was assassinated in Al-Hawl camp, after being shot by unidentified gunmen in front of her tent.
On December 25, 2020, unidentified gunmen assassinated an Iraqi refugee in front of his tent, in the third section of the Al-Hawl camp allocated for Iraqi refugees, east of Hasakah. According to Syrian Observatory sources, the victim was collaborating with SDF intelligence.
