Grenade explosion | Young man found dead in rural Daraa

SOHR activists have documented the death of a young man after the explosion of a grenade, while he was tampering with it near a house in a farmland in Kanaker town in rural Daraa.

 

Yesterday, Observatory activists documented the death of a civilian in the explosion of an old landmine in farmlands in the regime-controlled village of Sanjar in eastern Idlib.

 

On the other hand, an old landmine exploded in Sawaghankah village of Shirawa district in areas under the control of Kurdish forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo, killing one civilian and injuring another displaced civilian from Afrin.

 

While in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, two children were killed and another one was injured in the explosion of a landmine planted earlier by ISIS in the SDF-held village of Al-Duwair.

 

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 413 people, including 71 women and 128 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.

 

Among the total death toll, there are 45 persons, including 30 women and five children, who were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
