Deteriorating security in SDF-controlled areas | Unknown gunmen shoot dead civilian in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of a civilian, after being shot by unknown gunmen in front of the surgical hospital in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

A few hours ago, reliable sources informed SOHR that unknown gunmen stormed the house of “Haj Talioush”, a prominent dignitary of Ekaydat tribe, in Theban town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor where the gunmen killed him, his son and another person was in the house. According to SOHR sources, “Haj Talioush” was one of the most prominent dignitaries of Ekaydat tribe, while his son was the official responsible for electricity service in Al-Hawayij village.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 642 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 226 civilians including 17 children and 11 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 412 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
