New attack | Airstrikes target Iranian Revolutionary Guard positions near Syrian-Iraqi border

SOHR sources have reported violent explosions in al-Bukamal area in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour this morning, caused by at least four airstrikes carried out by fighter jets, during which they targeted the headquarters and positions of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia in Albu Kamal desert. No information has been reported so far about the human and material losses.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported eight violent explosions south of al-Bukamal city in Deir ez-Zor countryside today, coinciding with the flight of unidentified drones over the region, but no casualties have been reported so far.

It is worth noting that Iranian militias and their loyal militias are based in the areas of Deir ez-Zor countryside near the border with Iraq, while relocating their positions for fear of Israeli attack and unidentified aircraft, believed to be affiliated with the International Coalition.

On January 7, SOHR sources said that a drone targeted a vehicle belonging to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization militia, while trying to enter Syrian territory via unofficial border crossings with Iraq near the town of Albukamal in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, killing four members who were in the vehicle, and injuring others.
