Al-Qamishli | Autonomous Administration hands in French children of ISIS families to representatives of France government

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of northern and eastern Syria handed over seven French orphans of ISIS families to representatives of France government, after signing a document between both sides yesterday, during the French delegation’s visit to the headquarters of The Department of Foreign Relations in Al-Qamishli city.

 

Accordingly, the Autonomous Administration of the northern and eastern Syria region has handed over 151 children and nine women of non-Syrian nationalities to representatives of their countries since the beginning of 2020. According to SOHR statistics and sources, all children and women are of Islamic State families held in al-Hawl camp in the far south-east region of al-Hasakah, while their fathers and spouses were ISIS fighters who had either been killed in previous battles or gone missing.
