Security chaos | Thieves shot civilian dead in Wadi Al-Nassara in western rural Homs

In light of the security chaos in all areas of Syria and the consequences of the war, including uncontrolled proliferation of arms among the people, SOHR sources say that a civilian was killed inside his house in the town of Anaz in Wadi al-Nassara or “Wadi Al-Nadara” in the western countryside of Homs, following an exchange of fire between him and a group of thieves who tried to steal his motorcycle from the balcony of his house. The civilian managed to kill a thief before he was killed.

On December 21, 2020, Syrian Observatory activists have reported that a woman died today affected by her injuries, after her husband set his house on fire in Atma town in northern Idlib, while the woman’s hands were shackled. Also. The man and his sons sustained sever burns due to the fire and they were taken later to the hospital.

According to local sources, the man was under the influence of drugs and decided to burn his family because of his poor health condition.

On December 18, SOHR sources said that a young man committed suicide by shooting himself on the road between Al-Bal and Suran in the northern countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions. The reasons and motives which spurred the young man to kill himself remained unknown.

While on December 15, SOHR sources said that a six-year-old girl died in the village of Bragida in northern Aleppo countryside, as a result of severe beating by her father who tried to strangle her, after discovering that she stole his money.

There were many stories about the incident, as some people exonerated the child’s father, while others accused him of premeditated murder. It is worth noting that the police arrested the girl’s father under investigation.

On December 11, Observatory activists documented the suicide of a young man from Afrin city by hanging himself inside his home. The young man was found dead inside his home in al-Ashrafieh neighbourhood after committing suicide for unknown reasons.
