After hours of tense calm | Regime forces and trade fire on frontlines of southern Idlib
Syrian Observatory activists have monitored artillery fire by opposition factions hitting regime positions nearby Kafrnubl city in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled positions in Kansafra town in the same countryside. No casualties have been reported.
This development comes after hours of tense calm throughout the “de-escalation zone”. Also, Russian reconnaissance drones were seen flying over Jabal Al-Zawiyah and the southern countryside of Idlib.
Earlier this morning, Observatory activists documented the death of three regime soldiers and injury of others due to the ongoing clashes with heavy machineguns and exchange of artillery fire with opposition factions on Al-Ankawi frontlines in Sahl Al-Ghab.
Meanwhile, three rebels were injured in artillery fire by regime forces on their positions in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama.
On the other hand, regime forces shelled, with heavy artillery, the villages of Sfuhen, Al-Faterah and other positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib. No casualties were reported that.
