Turkish rocket attack | Clashes renew between Manbij Military Council forces and Ankara-backed factions in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored, in the early hours of Sunday morning, clashes between Ankara-backed factions and the forces of the Manbij Military Council on Al-Yaneli frontline in the north-western countryside of Manbij, accompanied by exchange of of missiles and heavy machine guns. The clashes coincided with Turkish artillery shelling on the area. No casualties have been reported so far.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported clashes between Turkish-backed factions and “Manbij Military Council Forces” on the frontlines of Al-Bughaz in the western countryside of Manbij, north-east of Aleppo. The clashes coincided with exchange of bombardment between the tow parties, but no casualties have been reported.

On January 3, Clashes with medium and heavy weapons erupted between Turkish-backed factions and the SDF-backed “Manbij Military Council Forces”, on the frontlines of Al-Houshariyyah village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The clashes followed an infiltration attempt by the Turkish-backed factions into positions of “Manbij Military Council”. However, no casualties were reported.
