After attacking two regime checkpoints by gunmen | Regime forces close crossing linking to SDF-held areas in western countryside of Raqqa

Al-Raqqah governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that regime forces stopped civilian cars and buses at the crossing linking between the areas under their control and areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces near the area of Safian, south of the city of Al-Tabqa, in western countryside of Raqqa, as unknown assailants targeted two regime checkpoints with machine guns at dawn. No casualties have been reported.

On January 12, SOHR activists said that three Russian jets consecutively pound the Syrian desert, coinciding with an attack by ISIS members on positions of the regime-backed forces in the deserts of al-Ghanem al-Ali and Al-Buhamad in eastern countryside of Raqqa.
