Searching for wanted persons for military conscription | SDF’s military police deploys checkpoints east of Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the military police of the Syrian Democratic Forces have intensively deployed checkpoints in the villages and towns of Sweidan, Al-Jardi, Dranj and Abu Hardoub in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zour, in search of wanted persons for military conscription.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that a military unit of the Syrian Democratic Forces raided, in the early hours of Monday morning, a house in the village of Al-Zarr in eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour, and arrested the brother-in-law of a leader of the Islamic State.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the intensive deployment of military checkpoints belonging to SDF in the towns of Granij and Al-Shuhayl, east of Deir ez-Zor.

On January 12, SOHR sources said that members of the Syrian Democratic Forces arrested three brothers after raiding their house in the town of Al-Baghuz in countryside of the city of Al-Bukamal city, east of Deir ez-Zor, accused of “dealing with ISIS cells.”
