“De-escalation zone” | Violent clashes erupt on frontlines of key village in rural Idlib, with regime military movements on Sarqeb frontlines

SOHR sources have reported clashes with heavy and medium machineguns between the factions of “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room and regime forces this evening, following an infiltration attempt by regime forces and loyalists into rebel positions on the frontlines of the key village of Al-Ruwayha overlooking Damascus-Aleppo international highway (M5) in Idlib countryside. However, no casualties have been reported.

On the other hand, Saraqeb city has experienced frequent military movements by regime forces and the pro-Iran and Russia militias. Moreover, vehicles and covered trucks were seen travelling on M5 highway.

On the other hand, Russian fighter jets were seen flying over the “de-escalation zone”, along with frequent flights by reconnaissance drones over Idlib countryside.

SOHR sources said earlier this morning that regime forces renewed their ground bombardment on positions within the “de-escalation zone” in the early hours of Tuesday morning, targeting, with rockets and artillery shells, places in Fleifel, Benin, al-Bara and Al-Fatira in southern sector of Idlib countryside, as well as areas in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama. No casualties were reported.
